exhibition: Dan Hanzlik (cz), Pavel Mrkus (cz)

Authors Dan Hanzlik (1970) and Pavel Mrkus (1970) have in their pocket relatively serious exhibition experience spanning European and World parameters. Although they belong to a young generation, their artistic language and visual strategies resemble maturity. The synagogue in Trnava is a space that predetermines, through its own history, those who intervene in its existence through their own creation. It is a symbol with its own architectural and semantic language. Both authors are concerned with an iconography of the present and confront the universe/god with human creation. This multimedia projection will be their renewed communication about one space, thereby creating a syncretic environment, deliberating over meaningful excitement triggered by civilization’s overexposure to light and the possibility of virtually transcending the material world. The visio-acoustic projection of data will transform the architectural borders of an object into a projection screen on which the recording of urban iconography in the form of photographs will gain new dimensions. These are precisely the movements we make with the button Shift, changing and moving pages, texts and meanings...
